The key to this drill is getting a good grip on the person that is standings leg and when you get to their side try to be square to them on your hands and knees. Since this drill is fairly low impact it is great for conditioning. Get a partner and see how fast and how many you can do in 2 minutes and for a harder workout try adding more time!
In her final week Mackenzie shows us a very sneaky wrist lock that most oponents wont see coming. For anyone that is new to the sport be careful and be sure to give your oponent the chance to tap because a wrist lock comes on very fast.
This drill helps work your great break as well as helps strenthen your grips. Unlike other drills that I would normally say push it, this one I would keep the time to a minimum just so you don't risk injuring a finger
This week Mackenzie demonstrates a very dynamic bjj submission she calls the "refined omoplata". Instead of finishing with her inside leg, she threads her outside leg over the arm creating a more secure and dangerous submission.
This drill is a great warmup dripp and will open your hips while strengthening your core. The drill helps you to elevate your hips while at the same time making your body move in the proper triangle position. Do this for 50-100 reps and you are sure to get a great warmup.
This week, Dedeco shows us a nice drill that will improve your guard passing game. This drill is great for learning how to transition and timing. This drill teaches you to be able to cut the corner and at the same time the person on the bottom can work their hip escape. It also helps with muscle memory because you have to shift your hips and hands very quickly.
Mackenzie Dern is the most exciting up and coming female grappler. She is a multi time world champion and has one of the most dynamic games in BJJ. This week she shows us a nice Omoplata Sweep setup locking her leg using her opponent's lapel. Make sure you get a good pendulum motion with your free leg to make the sweep happen.

In Braulio's last week he does not disappoint. Braulio has been following a sequence for the past few weeks based off a sweep. This week he combines the sweep, triangle and hip bump sweep all into one. This series is very high percentage and once mastered it will become a deadly part of your arsenal.
We had an amazing time at this year's first Summer Immersion Camp. People drove and flew in from all over the world to attend the 5 day event.
